Note Regarding Skin Sensitivities & General Precautions Regarding Raindrop
-
•Therapeutic-grade essential oils (such as those from Young Living) are generally safe to apply neat to the skin without unpleasant reactions. However, people prone to allergies, or those whose bodies are in an acid condition, or who have high levels of toxins, may react to some oils and can develop a rash from too rapid a detoxification following a Raindrop. In these cases, a smaller quantity of oils may be used, along with a diluted version of the oils mixed with V-6 massage oil;
-
•Several of the oils used in Raindrop, including oregano, thyme and basil, are considered “hot” oils. These oils can cause skin irritation, particularly on sensitive skin;
-
•For people with fair, sensitive or thin skin, these oils may be tested first for skin sensitivity. If any redness or discomfort appears, V-6 massage oil will be applied to cool the area, and a diluted solution of the oils will be applied during the session itself;
-
•For everyone: if at any time during the session, any of the “hot” oils cause irritation, which is perfectly normal, please request that some V-6 massage oil be applied for relief.
-
•Raindrop Technique was designed to optimize the power of real healing oils. It is only safe, and should only be performed, with the highest quality, pure, organic, therapeutic-grade essential oils;
-
•Raindrop has been effective in bringing relief and healing to those suffering from chronic or terminal illness. However, if you have any specific condition that requires special attention, please disclose this to the facilitator before the session, as changes to the protocol are sometimes necessary (for example, those with MS need to have a cold towel applied instead of a hot towel).
